Course Background
This
one-of-a-kind training course has been specially prepared
by some of the world’s leading experts in ship and port
security. With input from international law enforcement and
maritime agencies, this course will prepare the graduate to
effectively discharge the duties of a Port Facility Security
Officer, Company Security Officer, Ship Security Officer,
as well as other crew or port positions with stated or implied
security duties. The program was also designed to provide
important ‘domain knowledge’ to Port State Control
officers, Recognized Security Organization auditors, and other
maritime security professionals as required by the both the
ISPS Code and the MTSA!
This
series is based on the same maritime security training curriculum
that is provided at the IMO’s World Maritime University
in Malmo, Sweden as well as at the U.S. Federal Law Enforcement
Training Center; attended by the US Coast Guard, US Dept.
of Transportation, and US Maritime Administration. |
